CaptainShot V2 is now live on the App Store for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
This is the biggest update to CaptainShot yet: a major redesign of the product, with a new Timeline, redesigned AI summaries, smarter organization flows, better search, improved image editing, a new Statistics view, and a more consistent experience across iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.

What mattered most to me in V2 was not just adding features, but improving the structure of the app: navigation, clarity, speed, editing workflows, and cross-platform consistency. I shared some of the main changes in the visual below.
Under the hood, the app runs a fully local multimodal AI pipeline combining OCR, spatial reconstruction, embeddings, vector similarity search, and local LLM-based analysis to turn screenshots into structured, searchable, actionable information while keeping the experience privacy-first and low-latency.
Tech stack: Swift, SwiftUI, Apple Intelligence, CoreML, Vision, OCR, CLIP-based embeddings, local LLM integration, and iCloud sync.
Building V2 meant working across product thinking, native Apple UX, AI workflows, and performance.
